Mardi Gras!

Well, we did it, we took Isabel to her first Mardi Gras parade. Let me first say that Scott and I have never been "Mardi Gras people", we're just not in to the whole carnival "thing" and have never, in 8 years of marriage, been to a parade. But, since we just live 2 blocks from the parade route downtown, we decided it might be fun and interesting for Isabel to experience all the sights and sounds, besides, she LOVES to stroll and it was a beautiful day. So, we set off for the parade with the understanding that we would turn around and head back home at the first sight of "rowdiness". After all, there is this thing called spiritual warfare and we have to do our best as Isabel's parents to protect her from the ugliness in the world for as long as we can. Anyhoo, she had a fun time watching the people and the floats and I think she made her daddy's day when she covered her ears at the loud music . . . . it was funny!

Other than that, we had a fairly calm weekend. Our church services were great, several decisions were made and we started the Fireproof Study in our Sunday School class. If you haven't seen the movie, you should, its really great and has some serious marriage counseling in it!! This upcoming weekend is our church's revival and we are looking forward to that too!

BTW, the diet thing is not going so well . . . . . I have little to no will power! We'll see how it goes!

Below are some sites that you should check out . . . . . these families really need our prayer!

Thanks for reading,

Angela
